Terms of use
ulezchecker.uk is operated by ZoneGate Mobility Ltd, 1 St Katharine's Way, London E1W 1UN, United Kingdom, and these terms cover how you use it.
An independent website
ULEZ Checker is an independent site. The UK Government, the Scottish Government, the DVLA, any council and Transport for London (TfL) neither operate this site nor are connected to it. Scheme names such as ULEZ or clean air zone appear here only to say which scheme is meant. They are not a sign that any of those bodies backs this site.
Paying a charge, looking up a vehicle's official record and challenging a penalty all go through the official service. In London that is TfL; in the English cities it is GOV.UK; in Scotland and Oxford it is the local council.
Working out each answer
Your answer comes from what you type in: vehicle type, fuel, first registration date, plus the Euro standard and tax class if you know them. TfL, the councils and mygov.scot publish the rules and charges that the checker works from. Vehicles with a changeover-year registration get a note: the answer depends on the Euro standard listed in your V5C.
The DVLA holds your vehicle's official record, and the official checkers read it. If this site and the official checker ever give different answers, the official checker's answer is the correct one. Either way, paying any charge your vehicle owes is still your responsibility.
Your use of the website
You can use the checker and its page tools for free, as long as it's for yourself and not for business. Bulk copying of the site isn't allowed, nor is placing heavy automated load on it or trying to break it.
Our responsibility toward you
We work to keep the rules and charges aligned with the official sources. However, we don't promise a mistake-free site or one that's always available. Within the limits of the law, we're not liable for any charge, penalty or other loss caused by relying on this site over official checkers. These terms don't restrict any consumer right you hold under UK law. Nor do they limit our liability for death or personal injury from our negligence, or for fraud.
Law
The law of England and Wales governs these terms. You can also make a claim through your local courts if your home is in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
