About ULEZ Checker
In one place, ULEZ Checker checks a vehicle against Scotland's low emission zones, London's ULEZ and each clean air zone in England.
Who runs this site
ULEZ Checker comes from ZoneGate Mobility Ltd, which you'll find at 1 St Katharine's Way, London E1W 1UN, United Kingdom. This is an independent site. TfL, the DVLA and councils do not run it.
Our sources
Each rule, charge and date here comes from whoever runs the zone. That's TfL in London, Oxfordshire County Council for Oxford, a city council for each clean air zone, and mygov.scot with the four city councils in Scotland. Published dates for new cars are the source of the Euro standard dates. Age codes for number plates come from the DVLA. Every table links back to the page its figures were read from.
How the checker reaches its answer
The checker takes the date your vehicle was first registered. It compares that with the date from which vehicles of the same type and fuel normally pass the zone's standard. Enter the Euro standard from your V5C and it uses that instead, just as the zones do. If the date sits in a changeover period, the answer tells you so. It then sends you to the official checker, which reads the DVLA record for your vehicle.
We don't receive anything you type. Your browser is where the checker runs, and your plate is never stored.
How to contact us
You can write to ZoneGate Mobility Ltd at 1 St Katharine's Way, London E1W 1UN, United Kingdom.
For the quickest reply on a charge, penalty or exemption, ask whoever runs the zone: that body has your vehicle's record and is able to change the result. That means TfL in London, GOV.UK for the English cities with clean air zones and mygov.scot in Scotland.
